Police in Suðurnes have put out a call for an unknown man who made a cash withdrawal from an ATM on Thursday night, but forgot to take his money with him. RÚV reports that two young men were on the scene, realized what had happened, and ran after the man with his money. Unfortunately, he got in his car and drove away before they could reach him. The honest Samaritans then took the man's cash to the police station in the hope that they could help return it to its rightful owner.

“Did you go to the ATM earlier tonight but forget to take your money?” wrote police on Facebook. “No worries, we’ve got your money. Lucky for you, there were two trustworthy young gentlemen behind you in line. [...] Come to the station with a bank receipt and tell us how much you took out and thus can you recover your dough.”
