American rock band Guns N’ Roses will play in Reykjavík on July 24th, RÚV reports. A crew of 150 people will accompany the band, who will set up a 65-metre wide stage for the show. Organizers say it will be the largest concert ever held in Iceland.
The Reykjavík concert will be the last in a world tour which began in April 2016. It marks the first time Singer Axl Rose, guitar player Slash, and bass player Duff McKagan have reunited since 1993.
A total of 35 storage containers will be shipped to Iceland for the event, along with a 150-person crew who will see to the set-up for the concert. The preparations will take around a week, and include setting up a 65-metre stage, big screens, and a special floor to protect the stadium where the event will take place.
Tickets for the concert will cost ISK 18.900 (USD 190/EUR 150) and go on sale the first of May.
