Iceland is number six on the list of countries with the highest proportion of Veganuary participants, Vísir reports. The numbers come from veganuary.com. Veganuary is a movement which encourages individuals to try a vegan diet and lifestyle for the month of January. The list is calculated using registration numbers, though it is not necessary to register on the site to take part in the movement.

First place on the list is occupied by the Vatican City, followed by Britain, Sweden, Ireland, Malta, then Iceland. When the highest number of participants is considered rather than percentage of the population, Britain takes first place.
